The Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Choir
Since 1882, the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Choir has served as an ambassador for choral music, blending a rigorous a cappella tradition with modern musical adventure.Ìý
As one of the oldest collegiate ensembles in the United States, the Choir has spent more than a century touring the the Midwest and beyond, earning a reputation for technical precision and emotional depth.Ìý
Today, housed within an All-Steinway School, the ensemble continues to bridge the gap between sacred masterworks and global contemporary repertoire. Whether performing the timeless strains of Handel’s Messiah or premiering new works from international composers, the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Choir remains a creative force dedicated to excellence, community and the transformative power of song.

Conductor: Dr. Raoul Carlo "Miggi" F. Angangco

Dr. Raoul Carlo “Miggi” Angangco serves as the Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ. An award-winning conductor and composer-arranger, Dr. Angangco joined the faculty in 2025 and has since been recognized as a national winner of The American Prize in Choral Performance, earning third place in the Professional Division.
A known advocate for living composers, he frequently incorporates global perspectives into his programming — most notably contemporary Filipino choral works — to build bridges between diverse cultures.
Collaborative Pianist: Dr. Jonathan Sokasits
Dr. Jonathan Sokasits is a Professor of Piano at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and serves as the collaborative pianist for the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Choir. A distinguished performer and educator, he has been a fixture of the music department since joining the faculty in 1998.
A three-time recipient of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation Graduate Fellowship. Dr. Sokasits is recognized for his skill in a wide range of styles, from classical masterworks to jazz idioms. He is a frequent soloist and chamber musician, appearing on the artists’ rosters for the Nebraska Arts Council and the Heartland Arts Fund.
