Plus One / Talent Scholarships

In recognition of your ability, potential and willingness to share with the campus community, Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ offers numerous plus one scholarships. This is a great way to help pay for college while having a fulfilling college experience and doing something you enjoy!

Scholarship Timeline

While we accept scholarship applications year round, for best consideration, we recommend you:

  • Complete yourÌýadmissions applicationÌýby February 15, and
  • Meet talent scholarship requirements, such as an audition or other requirement, by March 15.

All students, regardless of major/minor are eligible for an art scholarship. Non-majors earn the scholarship by participating in art activities and taking at least one art class per semester.ÌýÌýWe’d love to arrange a time to view your portfolio! The Academy of Student Preachers Inspiring Religious Engagement (ASPIRE) is an intergenerational program focused on cultivating preaching that compels diverse audiences. The ASPIRE program awards scholarships to incoming students who discern a call to ministry. (Learn more.)

Does your creativity flow through you into the written word? Our Creative Writing scholarship may be for you!ÌýTo be eligible, you must be an English major or minor,Ìý a writing minor or an English education major.

The Sports Management Internship Program at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ is ideal for students who enjoy athletics and want to remain involved in sports throughout their college experience despite not competing. This program teaches all aspects of running successful athletic and game day events. Students gain experience in managing and marketing events, creating content, managing social media accounts and more!

The Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Center for Applied Media Arts offers scholarships for participating in everything from supporting Bronco athletics livestreams to producing the campus newspaper to managing a website to photography and design.ÌýIf media “has you covered,”Ìýlet us know!Ìý

Whether you love playing in the band or singing in choir, you’ll find music scholarship opportunities at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ! All students who participate in band, choir and other musical activities are eligible. And a great thing about music at Hastings, is that participating fits perfectly into a typical college schedule.

Producing four to five full productions a year takes a lot of talented students like you! Theatre majors and minors are eligible for scholarships, but so are those who participate in theatre — including acting, writing scripts, directing, costumes, designing sets, lighting — and more.
