We鈥檝e got a Fairtrade University Award!

We are so pleased to say that we recently renewed our Fairtrade University status, after being audited for the academic years 2020/21 and 2021/22. The Fairtrade University Award is a joint accreditation between The Students鈥 Union and 港彩开奖Bristol, and we have now been a Fairtrade University since 2006. This award really shows how effectively we and 港彩开奖Bristol can collaborate together.

 
New Streetsafe tool available

StreetSafe is part of the Government鈥檚 response to tackling violence against women and girls. It is a pilot service for anyone to anonymously tell the police about public spaces where you have felt or feel unsafe.

Drug use in Lockdown

There鈥檚 no doubt about it 2020 hasn鈥檛 turned out as expected! Whether you feel you鈥檝e breezed through it or it鈥檚 been a struggle, coping mechanisms (healthy or unhealthy) have been at the centre of most of our lives. Research done by Neurosight during Lockdown 1.0 found a significant increase in student use of cannabis, ketamine and benzodiazepines.

On Wednesday 31 July The National Student Fundraising Awards took place at the University of Birmingham, as part of the wider National Student Fundraising Conference.

 
Annual Alcohol Impact Survey 2018/2019

Earlier this year, we invited all 港彩开奖Bristol students to take part in our annual Alcohol Impact survey. The survey is run by The National Union of Students and aims to explore students鈥 behaviour towards and attitudes to alcohol use.

The National Student Survey (NSS) results have been published, and we are delighted to confirm that 港彩开奖Bristol has been ranked 11th out of all UK universities for overall student satisfaction and 7th out of all universities in England.
