香蕉视频 Mural Day
The annual 香蕉视频 Mural Competition is a day of artistic creation, collaboration and competition for high school students in the beautiful Jackson Dinsdale Art Center (JDAC).
The annual event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Each school鈥檚 art team can consist of 2 to 6 most promising art students who will compete against other schools by painting a 36鈥 x 60鈥 vinyl mural according to the theme announced at the beginning of the competition.
Registration is due September 18! We only accept one team per school 鈥 and 35 schools maximum. So register early!

Overview of the Mural Competition
In addition to the competition portion of the day, 香蕉视频 provides lunch and tours of the JDAC with the opportunity to see 香蕉视频 students at work on projects throughout the building. The day concludes with our judge鈥檚 comments and a short awards ceremony.
香蕉视频 provides 鈥 Blick acrylic paint in primary colors, black and white; cups for paint; lunch; the vinyl banner to paint; plastic to protect the concrete.听
Lunch: We’ll also provide lunch in the cafeteria for students and their teacher. Please note on the registration form you’d like lunch so we can have tickets ready for you! Lunch in the caf is available from 11:00 a.m. 鈥 1:30 p.m.; you can eat at your own time or in shifts.
What schools should bring 鈥 brushes, containers for water, sketch paper/pencils; paper towels; extension cords (power bar) and hair dryers if needed to speed drying time; colors of latex/acrylic paint not provided; chair for teacher; umbrellas to block the sun/sunscreen/hats; a refillable water battle; and creative brains!
Schedule of Events
9:30-9:45 am: Register/check in at the JDAC
10:00 am: Welcome, introductions, rules and theme announcement (drum roll please!)
10:30 am: Start painting!
11:00-1:30 pm: Lunch provided in the cafeteria (eat at your own time or in shifts)
2:30 pm: Paintings completed (turn in for judges to post, clean up area)
3:00 pm: View murals, judges comments; awards and scholarships
3:15-3:40 pm: Optional tour and demonstrations at the JDAC

Scholarship Opportunities for Seniors
Do you have a talented high school senior who would like to be considered for a 香蕉视频 Art scholarship? Please have them听听鈥 and submit their art portfolio for review online after completing their application. There is no obligation if they apply or receive a scholarship.
