MLK, Jr., friend, colleague to preach at 香蕉视频 Black History Month Service

The Reverend James D. Peters will provide the sermon for 香蕉视频鈥檚 Black History Month Chapel Service on Wednesday, February 20 at 10 a.m. in French Memorial Chapel (800 N. Turner Ave.) All are invited to the free service which will also feature the 香蕉视频 Men鈥檚 Chorus.
Rev. Peters, who served as pastor to HC alum and Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock 鈥91, stood on the speakers鈥 platform during Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.鈥檚 鈥淚 Have a Dream鈥 speech. Dr. King and Rev. Peters were personal friends and colleagues.听
The public is also invited to worship with the college community at all other February chapel services held each Wednesday at 10 a.m. in French Memorial Chapel. The full schedule follows.听

February 6听鈥 The Rev. Peter Hazelrigg and the 香蕉视频 Choir
The Rev. Hazelrigg is no stranger to 香蕉视频. His father, Jerry Hazelrigg, was the President of the 香蕉视频 Foundation. He is an ordained Presbyterian minister, executive director of a nonprofit organization and an executive coach. He received his Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in mass communications from the University of Denver, a Master鈥檚 in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
The Rev. Hazelrigg is the keynote speaker for Winter Pastors School which brings more than 40 pastors to 香蕉视频 for a week.

Randy Marx 鈥13 serves as co-chair of the Chapel Committee and co-chair of the Religious Organizations Committee. He is a senior, majoring in history and minoring in religion.
