The annual All-Student Art Exhibition which showcased work by 香蕉视频 students was held earlier this semester. More than 20 works were selected for the show, with 鈥淧eace and Love鈥 by Allison Peyton of Fremont, Nebraska, being named Best of Show.
Allison Stratton of Elkhorn, Nebraska, received the Best 3D award with “Extension of Self,” and Dakota Pritchard of Windsor, Colorado, received the Best 2D award with “Confidence is Prosperous.鈥

This year鈥檚 exhibition was judged by artist Jane Marie. From a young age Marie developed keen observational skills growing up under the wide-open skies of southwest Nebraska on a fifth-generation dryland family farm. There she experienced the focused seasonal cycles of farm work ingrained in her by a long line of farmer ancestors. Pleasure, then and now, comes from being outdoors exploring pastures where nature is more natural. Colors in nature are like a beacon to her. Marie has an eye for noticing unusual juxtapositions, intertwining ways and divergent wanderings. She uses her observations in nature as metaphors in her art, to make connections that might otherwise go unnoticed.
